Garages and Carports

Here are more great reasons to add a garage to your property:
- Add years of life to your vehicles, tools, equipment, etc.

Choosing the Right Material for Your Garage
When it comes to choosing the right structure for your garage, you want to make sure that it fulfills your needs. At Premier Structures, we offer both metal and wood garages.
What is the difference between steel and wood garages? Well, there are a few things that you might consider choosing a metal garage over a wood garage. Let’s dive into the advantages of both garage types and learn more about the materials before making a decision.
For most customers, we recommend choosing a metal garage. It is not just closed-in metal carport, our innovative metal garages are constructed with a wood frame covered by a thick layer of metal siding which provides to best possible protection for our vehicles, equipment, tools, etc.
Keep in mind that if you plan to use our garage buildings to park your cars, you should be aware that our garages come with a wood floor, which you might want to let us know and remove the wood floor option. We will still provide you a garage without a floor (has to be delivered to a prepared concrete).
Take a look at the advantages of a metal garage:
Advantages of a Premier Metal Garage:
- We build on a wooden frame, which will allow you to install hangers, shelves, and benches with ease.
- Our heavy duty metal siding lasts longer compared to wood garages, while costing about the same.
- Metal garages are easier to clean. The smooth, water resistant metal siding is easier to wash off compared to structures with painted wooden siding.
- Metal structures have a crisp and sharp look, which will increase the appeal of your property.
- Eco friendly: Our metal design uses far fewer trees compared to wooden structures!
For customers that prefer the look of a wood-sided structure, we provide wood garages as well.
Reasons to Choose a Wood Garage
- Wood sided garages can be painted any color, which is perfect if you want to match the color of your house or an existing structure.
- As an alternative to painting, you can choose a stained wood exterior, which provides a really classy natural look.
- Some HOAs require wood siding on auxiliary buildings, which means you may need to choose a wooden garage.
Our Metal Buildings vs. the Competition
Most manufacturers that are selling metal garages, use a steel framed structure. Basically, you’re buying a closed-in carport. This may be fine, if all you want is a roof over your vehicle, but most of us want a bit more. The difficulty with a carport-type garage is the following:
- Carports don’t come with their own floors. Either you must make an expensive concrete pad, or deal with the dirt.
- If your carport frame is sitting on the ground, the moisture will likely rust out the frame in a few years.
- It’s difficult to hang shelves, tools, or finish out the inside of a metal-framed carport type structure.
